"My work continued to be influenced over the next few years by travelling to Norway, Ireland and Nepal, where I compiled sketchbooks using found objects and any materials I had to hand. My subsequent paintings drew on the colour, landscape and textures that I had recorded. I used pigments with binders, wax, sand, ash, metals etc and adopted different means of mark making such as burning, pouring, spraying and staining to find appropriate forms of expression"-Jesse Leroy Smith
